Hello friends,

my target is to bring the MV Agusta CSL 125 back to road as original as passible.

This scooter came 1962 to Hungary, had some owner.
The last owner bought it more than 30 years ago, but he didn’t register it official.

The CSL has the frame no. 24223/9 and the engine no 24237

Is it possible to found out the year of production and the original color ?
I scratched at the black painted swingarm and found some blue points.

I´m missing some parts:
- Main Stand
- Plate Holder
- Gear indicator
- Manettino

From the gear indicator I have only the cover and this doesn’t have the two holes left and right for switches.

What is the function from this two switches ?
Any idea where I could get them, also as a replica ?
Mabey one of you have a picture from the gear indicator.

Last question, where do I get a Kit Catena Corona e Pignone

Grazie mille for your support
Ciao
Johannes

==========================

Ciao amici,

Ciao
Johannes

Ok Johannes
When you Pullman's restoration begins, start a new thread.
We are waiting.

Ciao.

Hello Iso,

you can be sure, that the Emmevi pump from Silca is an original.
The reproduction which are sold at the marked, have a plane handle and are longer.
They feed for example at the Pullman.

Keyword "Pullman" this will be beside the CSL my next project.
Is a second series with foot shift

Of that reason, not time for a CGT

I keep you updated or who ever is interested.
Because at this point, this post consists only of the two of us.

Ciao
Johannes

Hello Johannes
I'm glad to meet you again with new CSL scooter, I think you might want to look for another MV model.
Do you like a CGT?
The new CSL it is very beautifull and good condition.

I'm happy with the pomp, but I think it's a reproduction, it is too perfect for a seventy-year-old.

Happy new year to you.

Ciao.

Hello friends,

first of all "happy new year"

I'm back with some news and would like to show you my new finds.

Original and very rare Emmevi air pump

And I got a second CSL in almost complete condition.
Of course, it doesn't work and is waiting for its second life.

We have in Austria an "statistic government office"
These include, among other things, all registered vehicles by model and type.

At the moment I have the only registered CSL

Thank you Iso

I like attention to detail very much :-)

At my CSL was the main stand and the gear indicator missing.
The main stand is an original replica and the gear indicator a modern version with original look.

Hello Iso and GTR,

thanks for the compliment:-)
I tried my best and I`m very happy :-)

Perhaps one of you have a picture from the original "sollecitatore del galleggiante" at the carboretor. I guess the version I have is manipulated at the past.

Hello friends,

after weeks of collecting and manufacturing parts I´m happy to show you pictures from the almost ready restoration. Just few parts are still missing, like the MV Logo for the front.
I should get it very soon, but they have problems with the liability from the color at the brass sign.

The CSL will be shown at the Novegro Market in November

Hi
I didn't understand everything you wrote, in particular the words <<wheel drive>> seem to have nothing to do with the topic.
Did you mean rectifier?
In any case, the description of how the switch works is correct.
We have only the wiring diagram only of the last page of the manual.

Hello Iso,

the work is going on. I removed 1,8kg old painting the rest will be done by sand blasting.
At the moment I don´t understand the eclectic system.

If the switch in the headlight housing is set to the left, power flows from the alternator to the headlight. If it is set to the right, the parking and tail lights are powered by the battery. If the switch is in the middle, nothing lights up, but the battery is being charged. This requires a wheel drive, which I don't have. This should also be in the headlight housing.

Since we always have to drive with the lights on and the battery needs to be constantly charged, I need to reorganize the wiring diagram.

Electricity isn't my strong suit; perhaps you have a wiring diagram?

Thanks for your assistance
Johannes

Hi
Thanks for news.
As for the color, in Italy it should only be with original paint, regardless of personal taste.

As for the wiring, they were black wires covered with colored fabric.
The sheaths were black fabric.
For esemple:

Hello,

I´m back again.
We opened the engine and a lot of parts was broken. Like the cylinder, gearbox,......
At the moment is the engine in Italy for overhauling.
I´m very happy that I was able to to get a new Cavaletto and found some parts at the Market in Novegro.

A friend of mine helped me to manufacture new screws and brass bushings
202535155518_IMG_9645.jpg

I'm still struggling for the color because I´m not sure if the CSL looks great in "Azzurro Fiera"
Azzurro_Fiera.JPG

The was made by Photoshop
ta_CSL_2_tuerkis.JPG

Alternativ some blue metallic and also a photoshop picture
Indigo_Lightblue.JPG

sta_CSL_2_indigo.JPG

The next is the remove the old painting, the preparation for the chrome parts and to get a wiring plan. Because all the old cables was cut off. So I can´t used the for the new wiring.
It would be great If anybody can assist in this topic

thanks for your feedback
Johannes
